Sin

What is the unforgivable sin?

Jesus called blasphemy against the Holy Spirit unforgivable (Matthew 12:31-32). In context, the Pharisees attributed Jesus' Spirit-empowered works to Satan. It's persistent, final rejection of the Spirit's testimony about Christ—not a one-time sin but hardened unbelief. If you're worried you've committed it, you likely haven't.

Key Scripture

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
