The Bible presents God as the ultimate God of justice whose righteousness forms the foundation of His throne (Psalm 89:14). Divine justice means God always acts in perfect moral alignment—He cannot overlook evil or pervert what is right. Deuteronomy 32:4 calls Him a God of faithfulness without injustice. This biblical justice has multiple dimensions: God executes righteous judgment against sin, defends the vulnerable, and calls His people to do justice and love mercy as Micah 6:8 commands. The judge of all the earth will do what is right (Genesis 18:25). Yet God's justice and mercy are not opposed—they converge at the cross, where Jesus bore the full penalty of sin so that God could be both just and the justifier of those who have faith. This means God's righteous judgment is satisfied without compromising His mercy. Christians are called to reflect this divine justice by advocating for the oppressed, acting with integrity, and trusting that God will ultimately set all things right.
