3to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, in many certain proofs, being seen by them through forty days, and speaking the things concerning the Kingdom of God.
4And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, “Which you heard from Me;
5because John, indeed, immersed in water, but you will be immersed in the Holy Spirit not many days after these.”
6They, therefore, indeed, having come together, were questioning Him, saying, “Lord, do You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7And He said to them, “It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father appointed in His own authority;
8but you will receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit on you, and you will be witnesses for Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
9And having said these things—they beholding—He was taken up, and a cloud received Him up from their sight;
