1 Timothy 2:5

2for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and gravity,

3for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior,

4who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;

5for [there is] one God, also one mediator of God and of men—the man Christ Jesus,

6who gave Himself [as] a ransom for all—the testimony in its own times—

7in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle—truth I say in Christ, I do not lie—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.

8I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation;
